How to configure start and end checklist notifications and choose recipient roles

Set up checklist notifications

  1. Go to Checklists

  2. Create a checklist or open an existing template.

  3. In checklist settings, set roles under:

    • Start Notifications (ad hoc checklists only)

    • Completion Notifications (completion or expiration)

  4. Save or publish the checklist.

How notification timing works

  • Start notification

    • Only available for ad hoc checklists

    • Sent when the checklist is triggered

    • Will only send to roles who are assigned to the same location as the checklist

  • End notification

    • Sent when a generated checklist ends

    • End state can be:

      • Checklist completed

      • Checklist expired before completion

    • Will only send to roles who are assigned to the same location as the checklist

Adding completion notifications to an existing checklist

Important: Adding completion notifications to an existing checklist will not affect any currently open checklists. Notifications will start working on the next run of that checklist.
